STOP ATTACKING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF FIREFIGHTERS IN MID AND WEST WALES FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE.
Every day firefighters in Mid and West Wales risk their lives to keep the public safe. No one cares more about the service than FBU members in the brigade and that is why we are asking you to reverse the current course of action being pursued by service senior staff.
We support FBU members taking all necessary action to protect their terms and conditions and we are concerned that if the service leadership continues to push forward with these unnecessary changes then firefighting will no longer be a sustainable career; and the public will be put at risk from experienced and dedicated staff leaving the service.
We demand you suspend and cancel the proposed changes to the shift system and downgrading of retained stations and meet with FBU officials at the earliest opportunity to discuss how FBU members can work with the service to respond properly to the serious concerns laid out in the 2025 independent cultural review.
